Ombre Brows is much less invasive and therefore less uncomfortable than microblading. We also use a topical numbing cream during your Ombre Brows sessions to decrease discomfort. Clients have been known to fall asleep during their sessions, feeling no pain.

The initial Ombre Brows session will last about 3 hours in total. Touch-up sessions are about half that time.

Beautiful Ombre Brows requires two sessions. The first session will be about twice as long as the second. Your second session will be scheduled about 5-10 weeks after the initial appointment. This is the only touch-up session needed for 2-4 years.

Our skilled and certified professionals are trained to be conservative in the first session to make sure that your brows are not too dark. If you want darker brows, this can be adjusted during your second session.

The Brow Effect will never result in blue or red brows. Blue or red brows occur in other treatments because of the type of pigment used. However, we use an American-made pigment that heals as a lighter version of its intended color without altering to blue or red.

There isn’t preparation per se, but there are some things you need to avoid before your Ombre Brows session. Do not get a chemical peel and avoid sun exposure for two weeks before your appointment. Discontinue medications and supplements that thin the blood such as aspirin and omega supplements for 3 days before your appointment. The morning of your session, avoid alcohol and caffeine.

The natural-looking healing process is one of the benefits of Ombre Brows, and leads to easy after-care. You can resume your normal activities after your appointment as long as you avoid excessive sweating, swimming, and sunburns for the first week. Our artists will also provide you with a post-care cream and instructions.

Note that you will notice some slight swelling in the first 24 hours, but it won’t be noticed by the casual observer. After the first few days you may experience some slight scabbing and flaking, and it is important not to pick at these but let them fall away naturally.

You need to wait 2 weeks after your session before using sunscreen, and avoid sun exposure during that time. However, after that time you should use a high-SPF sunscreen while the pigment settles.
